What is emo hair?
Emo hair is usually dyed - quite often it is all black.
Emo hairstyles can be either short or long. Although really emo hairstyles can be anything you like as long as it expresses your individualism.
Short Emo Hairstyles
Short emo hair usually consists of a spikey back, with a long fringe of bangs at the front. These are brushed to one side of the face, often the right side.
The bangs usually cover one eye.
This emo hairstyle is more common in guys but some women also wear it.
Long Emo Hairstyles
Long emo hair is more of a long and shaggy style. The bangs create a long fringe as with the short style and again cover one eye.
Females usually wear the long emo hairstyle with their hair layered.
Emo Hair Colour
Emo hair is often jet black but sometimes people add highlights. Popular colours for highlights include: red, blonde streaks, blue and purple.
If you don’t have naturally straight hair you’ll probably have to use hair straighteners.

havent any of you ever heard of beong original liek you walk down the street adn you see this kid. adn then you get on teh bus adn your like what the fuck the same kid is on teh bus beside me now adn i didnt see him get on. then you get off the bus only to be really stunned wen the same person walks by you as your gettign off the bus. then you finally realise it was actualyl 3 differnt emo kids who all just look the same. by teh way most emo hair style s are just hairstyles ripped off from anime cartoons. AND ripped off from a haircut i use to have liong before it was cool. i just didnt wear it lkiek a fruit cake

I like the short style…but yeah too many people have the same hair do, that’s why I’m searching for something new…ever heard of raccoon tails? They look pretty cool.
umm, the ‘long emo style’ is actually more indie. It’s nice though.

‘Emo” hairstyles can be whatever colour or length or style you want it to be. It all depends on the person who has that hair.
Like, it wouldnt make sense to see a chav with ‘emo’ hair. So long as the person fits in with that label of person then their hair can be whatever they like.
To be honest, i personally dont agree with all this type of labelling. You are what you are, your individual, your not the same as thousands of other people all over the world. Dont give yourself a lable, be yourself and nothing else.

heyy everyone. if your really “emo” or whatever your calling us now, then just cut your own hair and die it how you want it. if you have curly hair then rock the shit. die it black and have some hot pink or bright red strips with each curl. as such, your hair will be over one eye, so i say to die it completly one color different from the rest of your hair. and remember, this emo stuff your talking about it jut people trying to be original, so stop trying to be so specific about it. if you like it then do it, dont ask a site on the internet. thats my opinion. and one more thing, real people [[who are unfortunatly called emo/scence/goth/etc]]dont label themselves. so to the “im not scene im emo” and “i dont wanna look like a poser” it already makes you an asshole. stop labeling yourself. just be yourself and stop trying to follow guidlines. kayy.

k first off not all emos have black hair. Emo girls look great in blonde and brown hair. Its not all about the colour its more like the hair cut and style. Like Scene girls have the scene strips in one chunk coming from underneath all your hair. You see most emo girls with hair where its poofy at the top and thinned out at the bottom with the side swept hair and some spikes coming from the top at the back of your head. Or having multiple colours and highlights in your hair but not everyone looks good with emo hair like people with round or squared faces do not look good with the long emo style while people with oval or heart shaped faces look good with it but people with round or squared faces look good with the shorter version of the emo cut. But the more layers the better.
OK help with teasing. First off do not tease it the day of washing it because all of your natural oils are stripped from your hair. Second use a comb for teasing it and if you have curly hair straighten it then tease it but as soon and you tease one strip spray it with hair spray underneath then on top but dont use to much or else your hair will be plastered to your head and it will look really oily and gross. third when your teasing it lift one strip of hair straight out and comb inwards towards your head and if your looking for a really poofy style lift your hair straight up and tease downwards towards your hair. Finally after all you hair has been teased gentally comb over all of your hair and then spray with hairspray and then style.
i think the blond hair is really nice! and ppl, lets stop arguing and calling the hairstyles ‘rips off anime cartoons’ ( can’t spell, tear tear…) poser, and bla bla bla. ppl liked the hair on the cartoon ppl, so they did it, big whoop. and nobody has the right to judge someone by calling them posers, if your just getting in the style or have rocked it for a long time, who cares? lets all just make peace! yay! dund dun dunnn duuuu! ADVENTURE! YAY!
